I’m reviving this thread for parents whose kids are in JC. Today’s reporting day for the JAEs and the start of Orientation for the J1s. Let’s share our experiences as our kids venture on another new education journey. In the meantime, my daughter’s still fast asleep at home…

jtoh, your dd no need to go for the orientation? Or is it for those who JAE into the respective JCs?
-
I think jae students report first. The ip will join in at 10+ later right?
-
Yes, the JAEs report earlier in the morning for admin matters and the IP report at 10am.

Jtoh.. Will you be bringing your girl to RI later ? -

My daughter just started at Millennia Institute - not a JC, but still doing A levels. I’ve got good vibes about the school so far - the staff openly acknowledge that the school is the ‘last option’ for most students, and that many are dying to ‘escape’, but they seem very encouraging and supportive. I hope my daughter will find friends and settle in fast once the class assignments are finalised.

Go for account or management instead of Art or science, A level will be very competitive for kids in MI. My suggestion, my girl only eligible to PJC/ JIC/InJC/YJC I encourage her to go to Poly and choose a good course instead of struggling in A level. Cheers…
