I got two aging parents whom I need to monitor while I’m away at work. I’m planning on installing real-time cameras around the house so I can check in on them anytime of the day.

I’m new to IP cameras and CCTVs plus I’m not IT savvy so buying things piecemeal is out of the question. Could someone recommend a shop I can go to have everything installed?

        Dear Topspin70,

You can trace back our previous post for the detail discussion about CCTV
and IP camera, or you can contact me at 97897805 for camera detail. I am selling IP camera in this forum almost one year and many return customers, just friend to friend recommendation.

          Hi all,

I just bought an IP Camera, not a CCTV to monitor my elderly mum whose living alone with a maid - just to make sure everything is fine at home. I bought it at the IT Show at MBS, and I can log in to see whats going on my iphone and ipad. Because we dont stay together, and I need to fly frequently, I feel more at ease when I can log in to see she is doing ok and the maid is taking care of her. I decided to get it because its easy to use and set up ( I have no patience for complicated setup or installation process- they drive me crazy!) Anyway my mum is getting used to the presence of the camera and the maid knows about it - I just want her to know if she ever tries to treat my mum unlawfully in anyway it will be captured. The one I got is from D-Link, you can see their Flyer here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151384898238621&set=a.374812433620.157948.364177433620&type=1&theater

Linksys Cisco camera or IP camera?

                Any differences? Clueless. Thank you.

I`ve watched a video on Youtube. It`s about baby abuse.

                    link:http://youtu.be/xYhYJWCcmSg

My husband and I are thinking of looking for a nanny, since we all have to work at day and no one there to look after my 10-month girl.

If we do need to hire a nanny, should we put on an ip camera like video does? Because I do really worry about my baby`s safty and maybe is good for me, since i can view my baby from my work? Do anyone has experience on this?

                    thanks a lot!

When my kids were young, that's what I did. Ended up not being able to concentrate on work, cos too busy getting annoyed ar what i see on camera, or, when reviewing the camera recording late after work, feeling frustrated when the helper did something I didn't think was right. Unfortunately, as a working mom, it is impossible to have a revolving door or maids or nannies because each change of helper brings more stress to family dynamics. At the end, I learnt to pray hard, overlook minor faults, suck it up and chucked the camera away. I can completely understand the dilemma you are in but unless you actually have the option of being able to quit and stay home todo things your own way, sometimes it is better to just give the helper some room to maneuver. You will be able to tell if your girl is doing well when you come back from work by her demeanor. Trust me, helpers know where the cameras are hidden and if they really want to do something they don't want you to know about, it is easy enough for them to move out of range of the cameras. Good luck!
