Hi 3bagsfull, what standard is yr boy now? Mine, P4 seems to hv quite a bit. Its like not enough time. I dont knw why. How I wish theres not much to do. I do checked with one parent when in school and she has the same as my son. Mayb from P4 onwards theres quite a bit to do. She said sometimes her son has to wake up at 4-5am to do homework! I was shocked!

        Hi pingathot

Mine is in p2 now. I was told p1-2 still quite relax. The big jump wld come in p3. I hv a colleague whose son is in p4 now but she told me her son also doesn’t really hv lotsa homework. I guess it’s dependent on who the teacher is.

          3bagsfull:
Ha ha for my boy's case, I'm indeed agonized by the fact that he doesn't have many homework to do. He said it's because he finished them off in class.

ya, 3bagsfull, DS also said the same thing. everytime ask him got hw or not, he will say no.
but when i checked his bag, sure got some...i just scolded him ytd abt this :stompfeet:

Ha ha same. I also just scolded him last night cos I saw sth not done when I went thru his bag. Guess it's a typical boy behavior. 😉

                honestly, I don’t mind if P1 and P2 don’t have much homework.

my DD is very easy going, have homework she do, don’t have she ask me to give her!
I think my boy is going to give me the headache when he goes P1!!! Haha!

                  Hi mummies

Ya P1 n P2 not much hmwk I remembered. But when reached P3, still abit relaxed. Only P4 onwards, you can see that theres so much to do. Say now, this month actually quite relax for P1-P4 cause PSLE takes up 2 days, plus public holidays etc. Altogether theres 6 days no lessons for my boy. But the teachers teach like flying a plane. Everything rush n rush bcos they hv to meet the timeframe. So homework plus corrections alltogether. Those Maths corrections, English all sent back home in one big piles. Sometimes I wonder why the teacher gives back like 1 semester’s work to do corrections instead of everyweek. At least we dont see so much to do plus if that day they have maths homework, chinese n the next day they have chinese n english spelling, oh my god! How to finish in one nite if the kid has cca or tuition during the day? So thats why I said not enough time. I remembered P3 he has to do two Main Mathes worksheets(different worksheets) besides process skills etc. Sometimes I think the school is too kiasu. English also has quite a bit to do too. I do not know whether yr boy or girl has this problem. Anyone?

                    Hi mummies

Forgot to add, mayb my son has too many activities in school too. Like racial harmony day, he has to skip lesson to prepare the booth. When he took the UNSW exams, he has to skip lessons too. When he went for golf tournament, he has to miss a day’s lessons. So I think mayb all this add up too besides the everyday homework.

Hi chloecube, yes, its good experience for him but too breathless for mummy! You’ve to worry his school works not done, tuition too but he is a boy that takes things very slowly, happy go lucky type. Sometimes your hair stands and shoot up your blood pressure!

Exam or no exam, he’s still the normal self. Not nervous, no worry and not revising too. So do you think will u get worry whether he will pass or not? Sigh! Dont knw when then he can wake up.
