Hi Snow Crystal,
May I know which group of students will be placed in GEP class and what is the difference between the gep and non gep class.
Best Regards,

There is no lousy class!! If same as last year, lowest scorer is 260 my dear. Not far from your score. You will not be placed in GEP class that's all. No sports class in RGS.chatterbox321:
:congrats: to all students that have done well in your PSLE!!
Umm may I know if I go to RGS with a t-score of 265 excluding HMT, will I be in a lousy class? -

[/quote]Primary school students in GE who DSAed into RGS are all in the GEP classes. The GE students+ sec 1 posted students who scored 269 and above in PSLE. I think the score changes every year though.Hi Snow Crystal,

So far i feel that there isn't any difference in the GE and Non-GE classes because what we are taught is the same. There were 5 GEP classes this year.
I'm an RGS girl btw:) Sec 1 this year going sec 2:P -

Awwh ... Alright. I'm putting it as my first choice (:. I've actually thought about what to offer yesterday night/ this morning.
A bit difficult, bec their COP has been about 260. Students who get in at 250 are from their affiliated NYPS. I suppose you could always put it down as your first choice and try appealing after the posting results are out. But honestly, unless you excel in a certain CCA or have something concrete to offer them, your chances are low.immaswiftstar:
Er ... I got 254+2 for my PSLE.
Is it ridiculous for me to appeal to NYGH? I absolutely love that school, and I've heard that people with 252 got in before.
Thaaanks btw

You mentioned yr Ds scored 267, then I say it a shoo-in. The cut-off for last yr was 259, it could not gone up by that much, 1 to 2 point maybe. Don't worry about the vacancies, not all the top boys opt for RI, some will choose HCI, ACSI and DHS. Just go ahead and put it as 1st choice if that is what yr son choice.Dad fm East:

Thank you so much, Dad Fm East, for your valuable input. It certainly helped alot. I just returned from the free consultation at RI. An RI boy attended to us and did some orientation. I was quite impressed by the level of maturity displayed by the boy. It gives me a good impression of RI. By the way, any idea how many vacancies after the DSA places taken up are left? Wondering how good are his chances. -
