Hi, recently my girl told me one of the naughtiest boy in the class who sits beside her started calling her names like stupid, crazy etc and she told the boy to stop but persisits.

actually, the best method to stop this is to \"ignore\". Get your girl to ignore those negative comments.

It is difficult to stop the boys from disturbing. Even if you manage to find that naughty boy, there will be others \"emerging soon\". They love to disturb those girls/boys which has the biggest reaction.

During P1, my boy's teacher teaches them to \"ignore\" if people makes fun of them.

this is no longer an issue of ignoring as the boy sits beside her. Every now and then he keeps calling her names and the teacher likes to make the weaker students sit with the okay students so that the okay one can help the weaker ones. This boy being weak in his subjects calls my girl names when she tries to help and endedup my girl ganna scolded by the subject teachers cos the boy did not know how to do. I asked her why teacher never teach, she told me teacher teach very fast and then those who cannot catch, those stronger in foundation will have to coach the weaker one.
sometimes this boy will call on the rest of the boys to ignore my girl which i find it not right. Luckily my girl is those extrovert kind who has the rest of her girls classmates and her friends from other classes to play with during recess. ignoring is no longer an issue , even the teachers also gives up on the boy.

I felt it should be left to school… if teacher is incapable of dealing with the child, escalate to the Principal. Approaching the parents/child directly will bring this to personal level…

My girl and her girl-classmates get same verbal bullying from another boy, to extend of vulgarity… probably bad influence from home, siblings, TV etc etc… if parents do not bother to discipline and correct their own kids, I bet the teachers can only do that much… At the moment, my girl and her classmates just ignore that boy and the teacher is still managing him.

Principal will be able to command more authority/respect over such children. Moreover, the Principal wouldn’t want to let such children portray a bad image to the public in school uniform, especially in current era of social media.

          My 2 cents.

if my girl is not seated together side by side with this boy, i would have told my girl to just ignore him. But they are seated together and verbal thing is continuous. Imagine if we are seated side by side in office with someone constantly never stopping to put us down and verbal abuse us, one day still okay but long term dun think it is good. This has been going on for 2 months plus already and my girl told me when she reports to teacher, the teacher dun even bother, not even scolding, do nothing at all . if the teachers are managing him, i will just let it be but if teachers have given up on him, do i have to keep quiet?

Email to form teacher directly to request change of seat. If no response or action after a week, then forward to principal to handle. At least give form teacher some face le & it’s her own fault if she chose to ignore u.

                  larkspur, I feel your frustration.

Vevey’s suggestion is good. If teacher still bochap, no need give face liao.

Hopefully, your frustration will end soon.

How many applicants balloting for the 58 places?

                        Total 83 applicants
As MOE stated SC within 1km balloting for 58 places, should be all SC (83 aplicants)only . For PR or those 1-2km have no chances at all to registered the school advised parents during registration day of the outcome.
