BeckyP:
She prefer to go to a mix school as she felt that some girls are more petty, thus, peer pressure will be stronger, she thinks.

On the other hand, if the child is fortunate, she gets unwavering support from her girl power gang and builds lasting friendship.

With t score of 244, would you choose Nan Hua High or Crescent Girl for girl?

I would choose Crescent Girls' (I am an old girl) plus I once saw two Nan Hua pupils (boy & girl) kissing each other on the public bus.

halo jennifer

i was oso an ex-crescentian, long long time ago.
betw nan hua and crescent, i would oso choose crescent.

but on the contrary, my gal is choosing DHS ( a co-ed sch) over NYGH ( a girls' sch). it's fine with me but we, parents, ought to have \"detective eyes\" to spot any tell-tale signs in the very early stage. believe my gal shd be able to survive fine in a co-ed sch, though her pri sch is a all girls sch.

There is a boy in my neighbourhood, same age as my elder boy (they used to attend the same childcare). Twice I saw him hanging around the same girl. Only yesterday I heard his grown-up voice (believe puberty has kicked in for him). So glad my boy is still boyish and not interested in girls

Hi,

Need some advise for secondary school in West.
My son PSLE score was 214 and I'm thinking of choosing :-

Choices in order Last year minimum aggregate score
1. Choa Chu Kang 217
2. West Spring 223
3. Westwood 211
4. Zhenghua 210
5. Dunearn 204
6. Greenridge 206

I know my 1st and 2nd choices are risky but I'm more concern on my 3rd and 4th choices order. Expected him to get the 3rd or 4th choices.

just my personal opinion, its better to put westwood and Zhenghua as ur 1st and 2nd. Its safer, otherwise your 1st choice will be wasted.
Can anyone assist me in my 3rd and 4th choices order?
I went to both school open house today, and was please with Zhenghua, looks more lively in the school if compare to Westwood as Westwood did not shows a lot.
Is there any other secondary school to suggest to me.
I'm staying in Chua Chu Kang.

Appreciate any advices, comments and recommendation.

Heard Greenridge Sec School has good principal, teachers are very committed. School performance has gone up these years and school renovated .

CCKSS - old building.

My girl’s maths tutor said the students there are studious & hardworking. Though I see quite a no. of Malays there.
My girl prefers CGS over NHH (think she still very disturbed about the plaiting her hair). How about Commonwealth & Swiss Cottage? Are they good?
Commonwealth is decent. Its campus looks clean and neat. Principle is humble. One minus point of CGS is campus is run down
Not racist 😄

If take HMT in chinese, need to communicate with peers for improvement & upgrade since more & more emphasis & importance given to oral aspect.

In fact, my 2nd choice sch is 50% malays, I feel.
