My son is in St Hilda’s Primary 1 this year. He is interested in joining bowling. Anyone know when he can join and who to approach?

        Thank you so much Bitchymum!

You are the only parent who responded. Gate 1 is the one along St 82, right? Would I foresee any jams during the morning peak hours where parents drop off their pri & sec children at the same time? Also will go down to Popular to buy the text books instead to save some $$. Thanks again 🙂
Yes there will be jam during peak hours, but becos gate 1 is at the side road, so traffic not so bad and not so dangerous.

You kid will be in which level next year? My gal will be P3 next year, so morning session also.

CCA is optional for P1 ... so far I didn't hear anyone join bowling in P1 or P2. Maybe you can write an email to the teacher in charge and enquire.

              Hi Dsmum!

My DD will be in P4 too like your DS in 2010.
May I know what kind of stress is your son facing. How do your family deal with them? I really need advice from parents who have kids studying here. Good and bad experience, I do appreciate. My DD came from a quite relaxed neighbourhood school, so your post starts to build anxiety in me already!

My DD just joined in to SHPS this Nov. She will be in P4 too like your DS in 2010.

My gal will be in P3 next year ... so far I feel P1 and P2 are quite relax. I personally feel that the stress come from the parents. Parents are the one who keep comparing results and asking what homework each class has to make sure their kids dun lose out.

I have seen kiasu mothers and also relax mothers .... so it really depends on the expectation of the parents

I agree SHPS standard is very high and both parents & child are very stress. If possible, I stay clear of CCA until it is compulsory.
Rather spent the time on tuition to build up standard.

No choice wat. If no good foundation, harder to cope in P5/P6.

Hi My son posted to P4 GEP .

Totally new to this area . please help parents.

                      1. I see from jan 2009 that lots of construction works going on and few gates closed. My DS will be joining the Student care in 842C. According to the student care children hve to come to centre themselves. so the Gate 1 is it safer to use . will there be traffic warden to help out when school ends.

                      2. How is the after school activities , do they need to stay long , if so how many days. do they have supplementary classes etc....

                      3. When enquiring in student care , they told me that school gives lots of homework , is that so.

                      4. Also what about the very good tuition centres near by , please help advise

I know its too many questions but :?: :?: :?:.

I can only help to answer Q1 ... gate 1 is quite safe as it is a small road. There is no traffic warden on duty but generally its quite safe to use the traffic light crossing.
