What is the criteria for taking triple sciences in Y3s onwards? Do they restrict this option?

At least a GPA of 2.8 and above.....
Below that, students can only take 7 units, not 8 units subj.

So far no restriction for 3S, most of them could get into their choices.
Will be given 3 choices of subj combination.

      Hi Augmum,
Do you think taking 7units is risky ? Some teachers seems to 'encourage' students to pick 7units even if they qualify for 8-9units. The reason being more time to focus and do well in the 7 units n enjoy school life ! Im just afraid there will be 'priority' given to 8-9units when they go to JC n selection of subjects again ...?? Would like to hear your advise.
      Many Thanks!

In normal cases, majority of them (heard that there are a few exception) would def go for 8 units when they are eligible for it.
Unless the pupil is very certain of his or her subj combi in yr 5,
and very occupied by other activities, like being a SC, demanding CCA, MEP or AEP,
he/she might consider to go for 7 units.

Dont think there is ' priority' given to those who are 8/9 units students in yr5,
but is good to take the extra science or extra huamnities subj in yr 3,
so that the pupil can get the feel of whether to continue the same subj in yr5 or not.

It's true that those classes with 7 units do have a shorther timetable and could be dismissed earlier than those 8 units classes.

Is yr boy/girl in yr2, gona to choose the subj combi soon ?

3.6 average means \"A\" average for all subjects, which is equivalent to mostly score A* or A for most subjects :yikes:

For this yr, yr3 Promo criteria has risen to GPA 2.4…

On top of that, computation is based on L1R5, unlike the previous yrs…
