Can someone help me with what to write for a appeal letter

Just want to check if appeals are solely handled and decided by the schools themselves or MOE will be involve as well?

Also, now my gal regretted her first choice and wish to go second choice school instead, will they consider such appeal at all given that she got into her first choice based on the application form?

Hi, Mass appeal exercise is handle by the school. MOE is not involve unless its deal to special reason such as medical reason etc...

You can try to appeal to any schools u want(more than one school), the criteria the school will take into consideration are the PSLE T score, CCA achievements and availability of places.

Hi justforqueries, the interviewer would most probably ask her general questions mainly about her CCA and in what way she could contribute to the school. Since she is appealing to a SAP school, they would probably ask her some questions in Chinese, to judge her speaking ability and fluency. They would ask why she chose to appeal to this school rather than remain in the school she had been posted to. If the school is not a SAP school, she could say that she wants to join a SAP school in hopes to improve her languages, and to become effectively bilingual. If the location of NYGH is closer than the school you were posted to, or if there are any siblings studying in the same school, ensure she mentions it. If the other school is also an SAP school, and is somewhat similar, she should mention that she thinks NYGH can provide a more holistic education, and is more established, producing consistent and good results for 'A' Levels etc. but try not to sound like you're dissing the other school. She will be asked questions about her CCA, which CCA she would like to join and why. List how she could be an asset to that CCA to show that she in confident in her abilities but not to the point where she may come off as stand-offish. What would be most important would be to not be afraid and don't let her get too nervous. Whatever the outcome , she should be proud. Wish both you and her the best of luck

Thank you so much for your help. My DD’s dream school is NYGH but she was posted to DHS, she’s very disappointed because this year’s COP went up and she couldn’t went in. Hope everything goes well!
