I did a search in the forum but only managed to find information on Primary Math Olympiad. Anyone has information on Primary Science Olympiad? Are there books or websites that we can read more about it?

Gosh, we didn't know about this. DS school is very passive in sending students for any Olympiad contests. We had to email the HODs about SPSO ... and because I couldn't find any info about RSO online, I thought it hasn't started... oh well.

RSO is up to P5s only yeah?
As far as I know, RSO and SPSO are only for P5. RSO doesn't have a website/info, every school can only send 5 students.

Yes, RSO Round 1 was held on 4 Apr and Round 2 will be on 25 Apr.

By any chance, anyone with kids ever participated in the RSO Round 2? Can you share what is the competition format? What are the question like? MCQ/OEQ? I am clueless, no information at all from the teacher and RI website.

DS received an invite from school to choose either science or math olympiad. He is P5 this year.
P4: Science E2k, Math E2k + Math Olympiad
P5: Science E2k, (choose math/sc olympiad)

I dont have any inclination for either one (no plans for DSA but maybe for support) but in case we do, we understand that MO is very competitive as compared to SO.

Any reviews from your children who has gone through SO? Do they enjoy? Any tuition centers for these? What is the level of expectatation for SO? For Math I know they are doing tougher levels but not so sure about Sc.

I believe most of the students have received the SPSO results through their schools.

The IMSO training invitation that I enquired is for students shortlisted to attend the training (and selection test) to be in the Singapore team in IMSO. 😀

By the way, do any parents know how many SPSO gold medals are awarded this year?

My child got a gold award. However, we have not heard any news about IMSO training. Guess he is not shortlisted.

Still very happy for him though. 😀

Yes, 3 of my child's schoolmates have already received notification from NUSH regarding the IMSO phase 1 training and selection test for Science, and a few others also received for Maths training. Notifications were sent out on the morning of 10th August.

By now most of the IMSO training squad invitations should have been sent, since parents need to acknowledge by 16 Aug.
