While she's eating, I would comb and tie her hair up. Then, she'll lie down for a short while till sashimi is ready to leave. If she is slow, she doesn't have this \"rest period\". I will then go for my shower and leave either with them or before them. sashimi brings DD1 to school. That was a tough year as DD1 could not be awakened by any alarms we used and was very difficult to drag out of bed.

Now that DD1 is in P2, she has become more independent, partly because she wanted to and partly because she had to, due to the birth of DD2. I'm now a SAHM and DD2 will usually have a morning feed when DD1 and sashimi are getting ready for school/work. DD1 has an alarm clock now that wakes her up. She will go to the bathroom on her own and change into her school uniform or PE attire herself. sashimi will still prepare her breakfast. While eating, she will comb and tie her hair up herself. Then, she brushes her teeth. She often goes to school on her own and comes back on her own. The school is just across the road and she has her own set of keys.

I always ensure that DD1's bag is packed and ready to go.
