That’s very encouraging!!! <br /><br /><br />This is the first time I follow the budget closely as I find it refreshing with some new ideas dished out. <br /><br />Although some people are not happy with the closure of SA for those aged 55 and above in 2025, that doesn’t mean the G is doing the wrong thing. In fact, it should have been rationalized earlier. Overall, I am happy with DPM Wong’s slew of initiatives.</p>

Some of my coursemates was too late to claim for UTAP, as they hv not applied for UTAP membership prior to attendance.  <br /><br />After CNY, I’m hoping to go for more courses for Wine tasting &amp; AI. Just hv to find time for it this year. Hv not plan for it. Think after CNY activities. I can’t do those weekend classes as usually busy on weekends. Think these are good for those working on weekdays &amp; can’t take leave for weekday courses. My grocery expenditure is under $500 a month (4 pax) - but that doesn't include my girls and husband eating lunch outside about 3 times a week - so can add another $300? Hence the raising of the bands for the following year.</blockquote></blockquote>If you look at property tax rate, in year 2015, it started off with 16% for the high end properties. But today it has gone up to 32%.<br /><br />Newspapers reported the G expected the ppty tax changes to affect just 7% of the owner-occupiers but it ended up affecting 13% so next year they will do some adjustments but that 7% will still need to pay high ppty taxes! <br /><br />For our own stay unit, our annual property tax went up by $100+ only! Whereas for a $5m-$6m and above landed, the jump is very significant, my guess is that they need to pay an estimated $30K a year. So for those planning to retire or already retired, do they want to pay so much for ppty taxes? This morning, DH and I spent $5 for breakfast at the market, that’s like $150 a month. CC trainers are quite a mixed i guess. Our painting class teacher is a overseas art graduate and his method worked for me. Many never imagined my art works were by someone in non art related field.
