thanks ruyu. but could you tell or recommend me the good one? it doesn't have to be SMO But i think i need the challenging and good one for sec students? How about science olympiad? Which one is more challenging (the questions) between all math and science olympiad (and books)? Thank yoiu everybody.

yorknell are you actually trying to prepare for something? You might wana tell us so we will know what will be of relevance to you.
Ryuu is there really such thin books and only $5-6 out there in popular 😮 ?
I been to popular a few times but never have I seen any such books, rather any books on maths Olympiad with such a low price tag in popular.

that’s fine… 5 dollar si so cheap almost as cheap as used books right? By the way, actually i’m preparing for schools DSA (for sec 3) as well as preparing to excercise. It reminds me that the NUSHS MAth dsa was tough!

Hmm, you have no idea the background of some of these competitions. Do check on wikipedia or google search for the official page and see which age group the competitions is for. You are looking for 13-14 age group, so avoid the IMO at all costs. If you are buying the SMO past 10 yrs remember you are only looking at the Junior section which is for lower sec. Since you are preparing for DSA, you only need to find questions for 13-14, any higher age groups is either irrelevant or will definitely prove too hard for you unless you have prior training and is really good.

Anyway as far as I know the math olympiad books on popular are only for primary school, however you will find these two books \"Mathematical Quickies & Trickies\" {red color book } and \"Geometrical Quickies & trickies\" {blue color book} relatively helpful.

only those who have undergo or have sth to do with the dsa can help you find similar questions. All I know is if you are looking for challenging questions to help in dsa the most relevant willbe those smo questions for junior. All the books they sell on the smo website contains papers for lower sec(junior) upper sec (senior) and jc(open). You can't get them separately they come as a package.

the level of the red is for p6-sec1 so I have no idea how it will help u since I have no idea ur mathematical background and dsa standard. The blue contains questions of varying level, challenging p6 and some sec qns.
I have no idea about your mathematical background and whether you studied sec1-2 here in sg . Although simply put doing smo junior will be great and most effective . You might wana concentrate on that.
