He may lose interest in breastfeeding.
Mealtimes are a generally boring affair for him unless you make it interesting. So he will not sit still and eat much.
His brain matter is developing. His cognitive and psychomotor abilities are heightened. The world is infinitely more interesting than Mummy’s face : )
A little weight ‘loss’ is expected.
If he is a chubby breastfed baby, expect him to be leaner looking in the coming months n years.
Most importantly, you need to observe his activity level.
Is he generally giving you a ‘hard’ time : ), wanting to walk n move around?
Is he alert and inquisitive?
If so, he is fine.
Supplements are unnecessary unless you are not eating proper meals. Increasing bm supply is more psychological than physical.
If you are happy, you will letdown more often. If yr child nurses more, the more yr breast produces.
The mother produces bm based on the child’s requirement, it is that amazing.
Do not compare yr breastfed child with a bottle fed child.
Bottlefeeding is easier on the child, he will tend to take in way more than it is necessary. Their stomachs are also used to levels that are way more than the body requires. This applies to bm bottle feeding n formula bottle feeding.
Breastfeeding direct from the breast requires a child to ‘work’ for his feed and amount letdown.
So just relax and enjoy yr baby : )

ilovelaksa

Reply to Club Breastfeeding Mums on Tue, 05 Mar 2019 05:54:25 GMT

Joanne25\" post_id=\"1896108\" time=\"1548385110\" user_id=\"165766:

I have tried Spectra S2 Breast Pump when I decided to pump. I think its important for women to realize that a lot of time and effort is spent trying to maintain the supply (whether you have too much or too little supply). In my case, I have a decent level of supply but I have to go for regular massages and take Lecithin to clear the blocked ducts. I don’t know if anyone feels the same but I hope that as time goes by, society will understand the different difficulties that all of us have to go through and the hard work we put in to continue breastfeeding (the flow doesn’t just come like that as people believe). Hopefully, we will hear less of such comments, implying that we have it easier. We can bf because we made it happen, it didn’t just happen.
