My phrasing was awkward and I wrote in baby words. It helps.  The enrichment gives structure and reinforces what the school teaches, while 1-1 is to identify and focus on weak areas to build up.</p>

That is too much of a generalisation.  It is the individual that counts.  Maturity may play a role (i.e. the girls) but ultimately it is the determination, motivation and hard work of the individual.  The stats ultimately mean nothing to an individual.</p>

The girls in DS’ class had worked diligently and out-performed the boys in PSLE (where previously they used to lag behind in school’s results). I saw with my own eyes how the girls cried with joy and hugged each other, while the boys  were just so matter-of-factly took a glimpse of result slip before passing over to their parents (DS didn’t even bother with the grades, he was only  keen with his T-score). However, that said, when they go the later years, the boys will overtake them.</p>

The teacher mentioned that the boys are much stronger in math n science.</p>
