Me n another mum are considering of setting up a jei / psle enrichment centre. They do not have a centre near by our house. So thought of setting up one for our kids convenient at the same time we are both very passionate in preschool n primary maths.

We did extensive study comparing all available programs (the big ones) and think jei is the best among all interns of programs, syallabus n future growth prospects.

 Together we want to make the centre a success in the shortest time possible.

Any mum wants to join in the partnership? It will b good if we can have another like-minded mum to join as partner. Both to share risk n resource. As we are both FTWM, so with another partner joining in wil share work load too.Please pm me for details if you are interested.

My kids are not with MPM but I hv visited their Toa Payoh (Braddell) branch. The environment is rather conducive and PIC seems pretty experienced. MPM TP also had good reviews fr other mummies.

Can someone also tell me the difference between Montessori Maths and Math Monkey Maths? Does Montesorri Maths use alot of manipulatives? Math Monkey also has Math Programs for Nursery and Kindergarten children which they said also help to prepare the child for primary school. The centre's staff also said that they use alot of manipulatives and tools during teaching.

my pre-schoolers attend a MMI-based pre-school & Montessori Math is included in their curriculum.

Thinking of sending them to MPM for Math enrichment so that they can have a stronger foundation when they enter Pri sch.

Just wondering if both are about the same concept then it would be unnecessary. Please kindly share with me.

If $ is no issue, I say go ahead. It is not exactly the same tho for certain topics it may seem a tad similar but MPM's materials are colorful, slightly different and they do adopt math thinking skills to impart to children. Both offer concrete concept teaching and abstract. Plus I am a fan of Dr Yeap Ban Har. 😉 So I may be biased. Hee. 😄 My girls both did Montessori and doing fine in Pri Sch now. No tuition. Yet..... :nailbite:

My boy just promoted to K1 this year and I’m thing of starting him on some pre-school enrichment program. I’m pondering bt MPM, CMA & Math Monkey. Had also browse thru this thread and seems most had positive comments about MPM.
As far as I know, MPM - uses modal approach/ problem solving technique which is in the MOE syllabus. CMA - Abacus/mental training, Math Monkey (needed some advice on this)
Among these 3, which would be most approriate to prepare my K1 to primary school? Please share…thanks

I"ve heard of MPM at pasir ris west plaza and also Mind Stretcher ar punggol plaza and they recently open a new branch at pasir ris. Can anyone let me know which center is better?
