I have had some disappointing experience with innate montessori. Although they do boast about a unique style of teaching and montessori methods, in the end these are just some fancy word for getting more business and making money.

They have hired lot of Filipino and Indian teachers who appears to be unskilled, which was evident whenever we asked for my daughters feedback they always cry about minor things that they are not able to handle (e.g. identifying big vs small). Most of the teacher are not even able to communicate properly in English.

On top of it, they keep a very strict and fearful environment, which is difficult to notice from the outside. As a parent, we think that when a kid doesn’t want to go to school (or cry in the morning when leaving for school) its just a usual tantrum. But then we realise that its not usual when we switched her school about 2 months ago. She is very happy to go the new school.

I think when it comes to choosing a pre-school for your kids, look for transparency on their teaching methods. They might have a fancy room on the outside, but the classroom are in the backs, not a good sign. See if they let you talk to the real teachers who would be teaching your child, thats the best way to judge. There is little point in talking to the principle who’s mostly boasting for business and using fancy terms.

I hope this feedback help if you are looking for a decision when sending your kid to a pre-school.

Some years ago it was rather good with experienced teachers, I also like them very much. But recently I find many children transferring out, teachers turnover are high too. I am also looking for another one at Yew Tee preferably. Agape seems good but also heard there are many new teachers now. Any parents send their children there? Or Little Skool House?

Anyone tried the Flamingo childcare in yew tee blk 617? I'm desperately looking for a childcare to send my DS in. :?: He's currently 16 mths already and til now I still din managed to get a right one for him. :frustrated: I've researched around only manage to find 2 negative comments about their managements and their teachers' high turnover rates. I've been there and look look, i dun like that place cuz when i went there there's only one teacher ard, the children are all crying or running ard, the teacher had no time to entertain me..i left after seeing all these..

Also wonder if any parents had experiences with PCF Kindergartens? I found 2 located within walking distance of our place. The tuition is very affordable and can be covered by baby bonus too ... most importantly there re vancancies for Nursery in the coming 2014-15 school year.
