After all the $$$ brain training school we sign up for probably use quite a lot of the exsiting materials &amp; know how out there. <br /><br /><br />Brain training:<br />1. Flash Cards <br />2. Memory train (I think Mind champs use a similar method.) Basically to show a series of unrelated  pictures and tell a funny story for the kid till they remember the sequence of the images. <br />3. Photographic memory: Look at a picture for 2 seconds. After that hide away the picture and try to remember where the position of some of the items are.<br /><br />Activities link with higher IQs<br />1. Reading<br />2. Sign Language for young kids<br />3. Music training/ listening to classical music for young kids<br /><br />Exposing children to languages<br />1. Listening to stories in other languages<br />2. Listening to songs in other languages<br />3. Flash cards of languages</p>

Then i throw in some questions to him … so that it engages him… or even ask him to describe the pics in the books.<br /><br />Not so new books, i get him to read to me instead. He can only recognise some words… but i reckon he memorised the contents… so he can " read"… <br /><br />Sometimes when we are on bus or mrt, i will ask him abt the stories as well… juz something to get him to describe and comment.<br /><br />I make flashcards of the key words in the some of his fav stories too. was hoping that it wil help him in word recognition : P</p>

Of course, it’s less time consuming if you can just print straight on cards.</p>
