DS's school sports team comprises of award-winning students and prefects. Sports bring out the drive to excel, to play to win, and win together as a team. It also teaches kids to play with intention, with strategy, that to go in and win a game, the team doesn't just play to its best ability; it takes analysis and strategy, studying the opponent team's strengths and weaknesses and juxtaposing them with theirs, and then thinking of strategy to gain the advantage. All these translate into an excellent, disciplined learning posture in academics.

[Moderator's Note: Thread continued http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=60756.]

julialai

Reply to DSA 2012 on Sun, 23 Dec 2012 06:28:53 GMT

nz:
Hi,

I need advice on DSA via CCA route.

If a child is accepted based on a particular CCA, does that mean he/she have to stay put in that particular CCA throughout her secondary education and will not be allowed to change to other CCA?
Thanks.

Yes. You may try to log in to the sch website to check. Some schs stated Student identification (EZ Link carad), Pri Sch report book and other documentations as stated in the admission letter (? no idea what it is). They may also post the new booklist in their website, so you can print it out and decide the books to purchase rather than scramble on the spot. My sis did that last year. They go to the bookshop 1st while child is still in the sch hall having briefing and manage to beat the queue and hence finish quite early.

august24

Reply to DSA 2012 on Tue, 18 Dec 2012 03:34:08 GMT

anyone knows the registration on 20-Dec @8am what’s the process & will take how long?
