There’s a dance studio called ‘Glissade’ at Bukit Merah central. It is very accessible as it is near the bus interchange, and also very affordable, and its prices are below market rate. The teacher is very amicable and approachable. This studio would be good especially if you are just starting out at ballet, but it has many students taking the advanced classes too. Even though the FB page may be quite old the studio is very well maintained. The teacher is also very experienced. Hope this helps?

My kid used to study music in NAFA but we made the switch and is currently learning in another school. I admire SYT's principal & instructors a lot and must say that the school provides a fantastic training ground that's hard to replicate. The robust curriculum translates to result and the kids will learn a lot. However, it is not for everyone as every child has different personalities, characters and learning styles.

When mine was there, I could see it slowly took the joy out of learning music though he never once complained. After the switch, I notice he begins to form relationship with music as suppose to just learning to play the instrument. He now takes ownership for his chosen and assigned repertoires, makes friends with other students and enjoys performing with them. So totally no regret in making the switch. I'm not familiar with NAFA's ballet curriculum so can't give advice with regards to making switch to SBA. If it’s just an extra class that most if not all students can sign up for eventually, we would hesitate to do it as we would prefer to let her have time to play on her own. If she has been spotted because she has a flair for the sport, then we will support her progress.
