You can shop around different insurance companies for these. It's good to get young people to buy these before they develop health conditions which would increase the premiums or result in exclusions.<br /><br />The rationale is that term life insurance is cheap and gives the best value for money protection for the family. Early critical illness cover is very useful as many early tests and treatments can be expensive, but will help prevent more serious illness down the road. However, our system now hv evolved into co-pymt in recent years. This so as to place responsibility on Insured to be selective when seeking medical treatment as oppose to some visiting every other specialist in the same discipline to get the ‘assurance’.  “As charge” serves a similar function as riders &amp; you don’t find many look at riders as nec anymore since there are many Insurers offering “as charged”.<br /><br /><br />I used to hv a Rider Plan (coveting all the critical illnesses) with AIA, but the one I had had a fixed tenure &amp; expired before I actually wld use.
