Recently my girl got back her class test (maths)
19/40,was kind of disappointed because she practise maths everyday since k1.but luckily this is non weighted test.means not included in report book.its purely class mock test .
Teacher also didnt let parent or kids know indavance that today will be math test .have anyone of you experience that before?
Currently she is not having any tuition class and she refuse to have one.

May i know how to help improve her maths.she been doing many assessment book since k1 .2page per day.
Just hope i can get some advise here.thanks in advance.

It might be due to kids not used to test paper. as when they r doing assessment books, it's usually topical and like you mention, 2 pages each time. But in the test, all topics tested appear together n number of questions r more.

Let her practise on some test papers after she has good grasp of all the topics before test could help! 😄

I did enquire my kid, it seems that they asked to write down what they understand. Kids wrote a sentence also it seems.

Looks like it's a mere task done during curriculum time, instead of fixed duration for some \"tests\". You should ask your child what the teacher did yesterday for Math Journaling. Or email the teacher directly for clarification. Could it be just some basic math concepts learnt so far that the teacher told them to jot down in their Math journal?

Hi there tim tim, the solution is recommend as follows:


Primary Pattern
1. 90
2. 90 + 3 = 93
3. 90 + 1 = 94
4. 94 - 3 = 91
5. 91 - 11 = 80
6. 80 - 27 = 53

So, what you should see is 90, 93, 94, 91, 80, 53 😄

The Secondary Pattern starts from +3 and decreases by 2 to +1, then decreases by 4 to -3, etc.
1. 3 - 2 = 1
2. 1 - 4 = -3
3. -3 - 8 = -11
4. -11 - 16 = -27

With this insight, we hope you understand the patterns now.
