It seems every week they alternate between Oral and Compo so the child probably gets exposed to each twice a month? My boy likes it that the teacher explains things slowly and in details to make sure everybody understands though. Im just not sure if its sufficient.

I think they are pretty good. FYI we were in overseas for the past 2 yr. Came back last mar/apr. I am Chinese illiterate. Therefore my son can’t even read simple Chinese characters & has no knowledge on hypy. His teacher @ kindy told me to look for Chinese tutor. There is no way the teacher will spend extra time to teach my son starting with nursery/K1 Chinese. I asked xxx language @ civic ctr. They accepted my son but when i was about to fill in form, I told them that my son has no Chinese background. They rejected me on the spot. I offered for my son to be put in K1/nursery class but they rejected too. Then I went to hua. Told them about my son’s situation. They told me they will start a class if they hv 4 children. 1 or 2 wks later my son got in. Within 2 terms he learnt a lot & even managed to get in one of the better Chinese classes (almost similar to higher Chinese) this yr (P1). Moreover they also teach upper pri students at nanyang & Maris Stella primary. So I would definitely recommend hua. They accept students eventhough they hv no knowledge at all. Other ctr refused to accept my son as they do not want their standard to drop just because of my son.
