Hi
I stay at CCK. In terms of distance to schs, they are

1) kranji (walk 5 min)
2) de la salle (walk 10 min)
3) yew tee / unity / south view (feeder bus, about 5 bus stops)
4) choa chu kang (need to change feeder to feeder bus)
5) concord (need to change feeder to feeder bus

my first choice would definitely be de la salle. But there is balloting within 1 km for phase 2C. Recently I heard that even within 1km, there is preference given to Catholics. And someone who isn't Catholic but within 1km was told to withdraw. The good thing it is affialiated to St. Joseph. But I prefer not to have CA. This sch has CA for P2 Math, the rest of subjects has CA from P3.

South view is the 2nd popular sch in CCK, also has ballot in phase 2C. The rest of the sch in CCK has no balloting.

My 2nd choice is choa chu kang pri. But need to take 2 feeders. P1&2 pm session while de la salle is P1,3,4 pm session. CCKPS has CA for all subjects from P3. If morning session has more yrs, then afternoon can nap, which I prefer.

Does anybody has any comments of the schs or advise?

I think you have little choice when it comes to <1km. Go for South View Primary.

If you fail, you can always go for:
Teck Whye Primary (<1km no balloting) or
West View Primary (1-2km no balloting) or
Zhenghua Primary (1-2km with risk of balloting)

Seek for your valuable comment and suggestion. We stay at Keat Hong Mirage. We will enroll our kid to P1 this year and would like to get some picture about primary school in SG.
From the list, within 1km, the choice that we have is just:-
1) South view
2) CCK Primary
3) Teck Whye

Since we are SG PR, i understand that South View and CCK Primary are both high preference school and my kid will hardly able to enter.
Question: Is Teck Whye Primary OK? Based on the admission selection %, looks like parents are not sending their kids there. Is that really bad? Any experience parents/alumni from TWPS could provide your two cents will be very much appreciated.

If TW is not too bad, we plan to enroll there this year. Else we will have to pick from the school below.
Any suggestion on the list below?
School between 1km and 2km
1) Concord
2) Dazhong
3) De La Salle
4) Kranji
5) St. Anthony
6) West View

Yes, that would be your only chance.
However... popular schools will typically accept PV < 1km only. So, don’t get your hopes of being accepted up too high.

There were average 3-4 applicants for every 1 vacancy in the past years for <1km. There are absolutely no way there will be overflow to 1-2km.
