Went to view the place, not bad as it is spacious and each level has their own classroom and toilet and cctv in place… Bt it seems to have alot of china teachers. Are the teacher caring? Both of them are located at Hong San Walk. Any parent can give comment between these 2 childcare centre?

Vice principal who is a china lady talk to me and she seems very friendly and can even address children by their name. Quite impress with their reasonable fees also. However I feel the child-teacher ratio is on the high side as there seems to be more than 15 per class with only max 2 teachers each. Any parents has kids whom currently enrolled with them ? Any other feed backs will be appreciated.

Ichiban is a Montessori school only in name. It does not really follow Montessori teachings.

I like the vibe of the place from the outside, and how students wearing their uniform behave. To the point that I'm considering sending my 2 1/2 year old boy there. Any info observation on Ichiban as an institution & their Toa Payoh branch in particular would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Any mommies with kids still with ichiban blk 703? I am planning to send my 2.5 year boy there next year? Is their teachers Montessori trained? Are the teachers and principal good?
My girl is with Ichiban Montessori since 18 months. I would say it is not that the teacher is caring. their principal and Montessori teacher are Montessori trained. My girl enjoy going to school. Academic wise not that fantastic but acceptable.

really not sure what to do.

anyway my friend sending her child to smiling star, i think its under RC. she said i dun have to waste so much money cause the child yet to learn things yet.

which applies to my MIL, sisters, and other relative. they said i am wasting money.

which i strongly believe, if i dun start now, her language will get worst later, cause everyone speaks different language to her. mixng her language into a mess.

any feedback or recommended motessori at the west?

I understand from my child a lot of his classmate withdrawn and he feel very upset so I also headache now.


I find out from the principal she gave me the answer is parent gave the teacher pressure. I don’t think she will tell me the truth.

Any idea who is the good teacher in the Centre?

Nothing like this had happened before in the first three years when ds was in cc. The changing of teachers started happening only this year.

As I can't do anything to the turnover of teachers in a cc.
I have a choice of leaving for a better one (not applicable to me as the teacher left in July and my ds graduating in nov) or make the best out of the situation in the current cc (which is what i did, coach english and maths at home, while he cont. to learn chinese in his familar premises and friends in cc).

Should you have any concerns, I feel is tt better to find out from Principal who are the teachers teaching ur child next year so tt you have more info on hand to decide further....
