<![CDATA[2011 PSLE EESIS and top 10% COP]]>Hi all,


We try to find out what is this year (2011 PSLE) COPs for EESIS and top 10%. These info (up or down of COPs) can be used to estimate the COPs of top schools and 1st tier O level schools. This will help parents and kids to make their choices.

EESIS is awarded to the top 3%. If you are eligible to take 3rd Lang (French, German & Japanese) then you are at top 10%. last year EESIS and top 10% COPs were 260 and 249 respectively.

My DD’s friend got 262 and she got the EESIS. Anyone has a lower score than this and still got the EESIS? Please share.

The edusave letter is for top 10% of individual schools i.e. each schools top 10% for SA1 and SA2.

Any HCL ? If his preference is ri, then just put ri as first choice and hci as second. Posting is based on merit. I would say equally good chance to get into either school based on last year cop. And both are good schools. But still need to exercise care in your third and fourth choice, just in case.

If he likes RI, i think he should definitely give it a go 🙂 his score is already very high. Besides RI and HCI, there is still DHS and NJC which are very good schools too 😄

Nobody knows except MOE. If you \"die die\" want to know, then u have to assume somehow an even distribution from 251 to 259, and u will get;

260 and above - top 3%
259 - top 4%
258 - top 5%
256 to 257 - top 6%
254 to 255 - top 7%
252 to 253 - top 8%
251 - top 9%
250 - top 10%

Top schools here meaning R/RGS/HCI/NYGH etc.


With the introduction of IP in some schools for Sec 1 in 2012 and Sec 3 in 2014, I expect some changes in the COPs of schools in the second tier, those whose COPs are >250 and the new IP schools.
