I remember last year there was a mom from woodlands/admiralty area mentioned that the private school bus pick-up time from their home is even earlier than if the boy were to take public transport to SJI. Just to bring up this point so that you can explore the options earlier.

In my personal view, 255, if he didnt get in VS-IP, his chance of getting into SJI-IP is very high.

it will be a disaster to find out later that there is no feasible/sensible option to commute to school only when sch is about to start.

U may have tried the bus 48 on a weekend which is slower as it passes through Rochor area. Perhaps can reconsider and make the one amendment to the choices since both yourself and your son also wants to go to SJI.

You can also consider taking bus 966 from Parkway / Still Road that will reach PIE/Jalan Toa Payoh/CJC quite fast as it uses the highway, thereafter its just one more bus stop to SJI.

Is your house near Bukit Panjang? There is a bus 700 from Bukit Panjang Int to Whitley Road, just after Tanglin CC. This bus, after passing Dairy Farm Road, will be travelling on the expressway. The first bus stop after the expressway will be the bus stop just after Tanglin CC. From the bus stop, you can walk to SJI.

which part of jurong ? perhaps try the mrt to buona vista, then change to circle line to botanic gardens followed lastly by a short bus ride (151, 153, 154, 156, 186) of a few bus stops to the raffles town club bus stop
