My elder son is currently in Montfort. He enjoys the school very much.
I joined the school’s FB page and sees the regular updates posted.
I am very impressed by the teachers’ dedications.
The school exercises mutual respects. The school allows the boys to use their mobile at certain tie of the day. And they are made to sign on an agreement contract on their mobile usage. Boys are disciplined and they will automatically put their phone away once the time is due.

Example : Teachers stayed back for extra consultation sessions with the students. My boy stays back almost everyday to have extra lessons or even 1:1 with teachers on his weak subjects. He had shown much improvements to his academic results. Now I see for those O level students, every night they stayed back till late for revisions. Teachers stayed back to guide them and PSG sponsored snacks for the boys to continue their lessons late. They are there usually till about 8 or 9pm in the night.

Let me tell you, it is a BOYS school. So, be prepared for some rowdiness and naught students too. But we applaud the approaches the school takes to discipline the boys. I am 1 of those parents whom agrees to canning sessions. So, I heard from my boy that they do have canning sessions for boys caught smoking or stealing etc etc (they only proceed to canning with parent’s consent and also after counselling sessions too).

As for the results, my son told me that he has a friend whom scored above 250 and selected Montfort. And he has seniors whom did really well for their O levels and some went to RJC.

My son did not score high for his PSLE. He scored only 206 and luckily he managed to be accepted into Montfort. He was the last 10 during his Sec1 year and with the guide and coaching from teachers on the extra consultation lessons, he has improved his main core subjects to A2/A1 results and made superb good progress improvements in Sec2 year. I sincerely appreciate the school’s committed teachers for their selfless teachings.

Hi Jody...during his time so presume that he has graduated from the school years back?

Average students from modest background. Not much arrogance as well. I think its a good environment.

There are some difficult students from the NT / NA in the upper secondary, but i heard the discipline master is very strict

Teachers are very caring as well…

Will update if i see a change, but so far so good
