Hence, the rest of the discussion is moot. <br /><br />Holy Innocent - balloting &gt; 2km. You have to see whether you can stomach the odds. <br /><br />Maris Stella - should be bao jiak but possibility of balloting &gt; 2km due to new housing developments. I am assuming the Church will know (and if he's been attending church, they definitely will know!).<br /><br />Notice that unlike PV, MOE didn't state any dateline / timeline for the rest of Phase 2B endorsement. Churches, clans and the PA set their own rules. The baptism certificate IS an endorsement. Some may accept either parent’s baptism cert. Others may require the child’s baptism cert. And quite likely they need an English translation of the doc, but maybe they will accept Bahasa cert if someone in the school office is qualified to translate or verify it.<br /><br />Just ask the school directly. It’s impossible that the school admin does not know. They are the ones who will have to view and process the doc on registration day.</p>

TIA<p></p></blockquote>The 2 schools are so different. Maris Stella is a SAP school - the kids must take Higher Chinese immediately from P1 onwards. SJIJ kids start P1 with normal Chinese.<br /><br />Both schools have balloting for phase 2B. So it depends where your house is. U may or may not get a confirmed seat. If you are looking at Phase 2B, the odds are not in your favor and the likelihood of not being able to even ballot is high if you are &gt; 2km.
