Surely it is not to support an aging population?!<p></p></blockquote>civil engineers are extinct, almost<br /><br />for so many years, NUS / NTU intake for civil engrg were shrunk, like wise not many applicants for it. <br /><br />it is proven to be short sighted - we are so lacking in civil engrg related people we had to grab fresh grad from other countries to come do the job due to the many construction related jobs, not just the hard labourers <br /><br />we think we are far sighted to train so many IT engineers ? The PRC and Indian software engineers proven to be cheaper when the software writing are outsourced to all these countries. This is made worse when the people is not from homogeneous background, but from different parts of the world.  Cramping all people into close proximity is simply asking for trouble.  Looking around at the numerous high-rise housing emerging and one sees the tendency of conflict could only get worse. She has deleted the post and apologised.<br /><br /><br />Another case after the Swiss case is by Brian Tan (Director) from Fairmont Hotel.  He supported the Swiss's remarks claiming Singaporeans are weak &amp; lazy.
