Personally, this will be a good source of information exchange to comprehend what projects that they are tasked to do for Sci or Social Studies or Examinable topics to cover to Math, or any other areas. The lesser info could also be due to their small cohort this year. I read from other posts that St Hilda’s and Henry Park only has 1 GEP class this year, as compared to the other schools with 2 or more. This would also mean that they have the luxury of a smaller teacher-student ratio as well, compared to the other schools.

I suppose you have to rely on the upcoming briefing to gather more info. Or else, u can also call up or email the school if u have other concerns. Good luck in your selection!

My child is currently in P2 (in the East), so we shall be giving this GEP selection process a go next year.

FYI, if u're considering GEP schools in the East, only St. Hilda's has this mobile device requirement for the GEP students. Tao Nan doesn't as I have checked with a parent of a current P4 GEP student in TNS. U can also look at both schools' booklist for 2020 GEP classes to get a gist of their curriculum.

Don't know how hard or what kind of questions they are as kids all could not remember questions. But only said even MCQs were hard.

There will always be some who think English was harder than Math and vice versa. I have also heard of a few kids who normally scored above 85% for school weighted assessments but could not do as many as 12 Math questions. A friend's kid is from a branded school, parents are both lawyers and kid reads a lot , scored 90+% but found English very hard. :roll:
