The second sentence is not so black and white. Yes Water here is very safe from bacteria but the chlorine level in water , while within the official safe levels, its long term impact on our body is questionable. After all what kills a living thing cannot be good for our health. There are a lot of studies ongoing regarding alkaline environment that is more conducive to the body vs acidic environment. The filters we used in China said they removed bacteria, viruses, amoeba etc as well as parasites and heavy metal salts. We bought a brand that had patents and various good reviews internationally.
