I bought this Lego Robotic kit for my 8 year old boy. He was so fond of building leggo so building a robot using this kit was pretty easy for him. I being myself a programmer just taught him some basic programming skills.

Actually, python will be easier than Swift Playground, as Swift is based on C language (or Objective C as it was called previously by Apple)

Another option will be python which can be used for Web Development, Games, Applications, Graphics, Data Science etc

My 6 year old uses Scratch Jr while the 9 year old one uses Scratch.

Lego promotes fine motor skills. Children practice dexterity as they connect Lego pieces of different sizes and shapes. I am into Robotics but it’s more for industrial robotics.

Fundamental for lego robotics or any robotics programme is programming and simple machines. Using this knowledge then you apply the concept.

Agreed! Lego robotics toys is a good way to check if your child show some interest with robotics.. that way you won't waste money spending on something your child doesn't have any interest
