Hi Happi01, my kid is now in mid primary at YNPS.
During P1 (mid January), there should be a MPS (meet parents session). U can seize the opportunity at that time to initiate a chatgrp with the parents whose kids are in that same class 🙂
During my time, 1 mom just stood up and passed around a paper collating HP# and names. The chatgrp started from there.
Just my suggestion.

Any feedback to the school from existing parents? My DS is going P1 next yer and p1 registration for alumni/ex primary school is coming up very soon. So far I choose yu neng because it offers higher chinese at p2 onwards, but not other (used to be) traditional Chinese school which is nearer my home. Yu neng is more than 2km from my place but guarantee I can get in.

Any tips?

Mummy's told me that last year PSLE result was poor .Only 61.1% qualify for express course.
No of pupils qualify for DSA last year is 0 compare to previous year were 18 students.

some mummys highlight that Parents need to write in to seek approval/consult from Principal for urgent matters during school terms if needed to absence from school.

Don't you all think is stupid ....its already a urgent matter and parents still need to seek approval from Principal for that by writing in :rotflmao: .

Till now , many parents are still fuming about the recess arrangement …ONLY 30 MINUTES for you to queue for food ,find a seat ,finish your food …3 levels go to recess at the same time .That’s be 16 classes total of 480 students rushing for CANTEEN!!!

Last year , they were replaced by new 1P 2VP ( so many P maybe because of single session)

The school is running single session with 1 recess time and a small snack break .
The school time is quite long up to 1.40pm except Friday .
If your child is involved in CCA it will be more worst .
YNPS CCA starts around 2.15pm ends around 5-6pm ,example: table tennis/Badminton (3 times/week).Its a KILL for young kids .

The school standard for PSLE drop drastically for 2014 when 3 new principals took over .The teachers are not so fantastic ,school communication for parents are poor ,sometimes wrong info provided.( All info gathered from Parents gossiping outside school gate 4 ).

If anyone need to know details about this school , proceed to school gate 4 around 140pm , you can chat with the mothers fetching their child there .
