We are unable to secure the school bus services and we live some 15km away from the school. Hence any help or recommendation will be much appreciated!
15km is pretty far. Better to state your estate so that bus drivers can better gauge if they can put you in. Be prepared to wake up at ungodly hours.

I think nowadays childcare centres not only look after your child but the things taught during normal lesson really are more than adequate. I suggest you look at the one close to the main road. Specifically the one with the M one is not bad. Chances are by the time your kid is in P5 & P6 (say Care), you will realise that a few of the kids are from that childcare centre.

Not for fussy as all have stains of varying degrees after wearing for a year or two, not sure if it will go away after bleaching/washing. Name label has been removed, you can sew on your own.


PE t-shirts
Size 26 X 1 (suits P1)
Size 30 x 3
Size 32 x 3

Blue pants suits P1/P2. No stains but zipper head has spoilt. Needs replacement.

All schools will accept PA endorsed GRL. It's a government policy.

Very hard to say. While birth rate is not that high, it’s hard to estimate or predict. If suay-suay low birth, but born to ATS parents or siblings of the two previous high birth year, then phase 1 will explode.

If you look at past phase 2A1 and 2A2 combined, ATS attract ~130+ applicants. If enough (or all) of them switch to Phase 2A1, you are going to get a ballot.

I think you should refer to this year’s application number.

ATS Phase 2A1 vacancy is 113. Number of applicants is 113. If there is just 1 more applicant, ATS would have balloted for SC > 2km. Hence, I think you should be mentally prepared that there would be a ballot for SC > 2km next year. If don’t have, Heng lor.

Primary 1 Registration for Alumni Members

Alex is a former Ai Tong Student but not a member of the Alumni. He would like to register his 5 year child in Ai Tong School under Phase 2A(1) for Primary 1 Registration in July 2018 for Primary 1 starting in 2019. The qualifying timeline is as follows:

- Submit Membership Application to Alumni Office latest by 30th June 2017 (1 year ahead of registration)

- Notify Alumni Office on his to participate in the coming Primary 1 Registration under Phase 2A(1) between May-June so the Alumni Office can prepare an Acknowledgement Letter for the member, which must be presented to the School during the Registration process.

- Contact our Secretary, Miss Lee, at 6552 3291 to make arrangement for the collection of the above-mentioned letter 2 weeks before the Registration Day.

- For information on what other documents are required for the registration, please visit MOE website http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/ for the details.

If you are in a hurry (eg for P1 registration priority), try giving Ai Tong School a call at 6454 7672. The General Office may be able to inform you whether you should make a trip or just mail in the application form with the cheque.

As for the time frame, refer to following Q&A from Ai Tong Alumni FAQ:-

All qualified applications will have to be verified and approved during the Quarterly Executive Committee Meeting. Once the EXCO has approved the application, a notification will be sent to the alumni.

For the above scenario, the applicant may need to wait up to 3 months if his application form reaches us right after an EXCO Quarterly Meeting.

The Alumni Association AGM is on 21 March. As with these things, may have a change of chairman and committee members or maybe not. After which, will be about a month before the committee meets. New members acceptance are usually tabled for consideration at their meetings.

In short, if you send in your application form and Cheque today, and is lucky, you will be confirmed by May 2020. Note that MOE guideline is no later than 30 June for enrollment in 2022. If your application is not ready by the meeting, it may be tabled at the next meeting which is like, who knows when. So, got to hurry. You can’t make a trip down as the alumni office may not be opened and the guard is unlikely to let you in.

Hi, it is likely that the admin will get the chairman’s signature after your submission. You can pay by cheque (payable to Ai Tong School Alumni Association).

At the close of each day, MOE will provide an update on the number of people that have registered. For schools like Ai Tong, you can safely assumed 99.9% of the applicants lived within 1km.
