Anyone can suggest a good student care in punggol for Mee Toh P1?
If cost is your concern, YMCA student care to consider. But priority goes to low income, single parent, siblings of current cohort, etc.

If you are looking for something premium with great environment, gotta be Playfacto. Current waiting list at Oasis is super long though you will get priority for the student care if you sign your kid up for their creative maths class. Northshore outlet (heard is much bigger than the Oasis one) set to open in 4th qtr this yr. Can consider if u stay near that area.

If you want to have all-in-one tuition cum student care, there will be Mainspring, Justedu and Edufirst.

Personally, I'm not keen to wait till Oct to see if my boy can get a place at YMCA. As for Playfacto, Northshore is just too far from where we stay. And I'm very reluctant to pay the $$ to sign my boy up for the creative maths class at Oasis cos the class is to build foundation for maths and I do think my boy has a decent foundation for maths due to daily practice at home. For Justedu, teacher dabao lunch for the kids from the caifan stall at the foodcourt. Not the kinda food I would expect a student care to provide. Mainspring was a little kinda messy inside, though I was quite keen for a while cos it is the most convenient in terms of location (at the mrt station). In the end, I choose Edufirst for my boy when he starts P1 next yr as the environment is nice, clean and bright. Can schedule in-house tuition during student care hours. The centre can even help me bring my boy to his enrichment classes within safra during student care hours. Can free up weekends for swim class. Lol.

I am an alumni graduated about 3 decades ago. Back then the school was small and teachers and students were closely knitted. Everyone knew everyone. We sang the 3 gem song at Monday assembly every week, which unfortunately till today I still don’t fully grasp it’s full meaning. We had Buddhist studies taught to us in English. Though I’m more a free thinker today, I feel those days in Mee Toh have inculcated positive values and morals in me.

I’m looking at registering my child there for P1 in 2022. Appreciate if parents can share how they feel about the school. And also information on student care. Thanks.

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

While there are many schools in Punggol, there are VERY FEW schools in Punggol that are:
1. Government aided (actually none other than MTS; that said, probably not much of an advantage to MTS)
2. > 25 years old (MTS is founded in 1954)
3. Steeped in Buddhist values (and I’m probably going to come across as being a racist here - predominantly Chinese students in the school)
4. Affiliated to a secondary school (probably not everyone’s first choice but some backup is better than no backup)

Mee Toh is not listed under SBF, only Maha Bodhi is. Next option is to join grassroots but need to buffer 3years.

there is no official statement by the school though. However, it is being stated on the school website that submission can be done between 8am to 5pm from 3-5 July. i think the current system is more organised and fair. i went to submit this morning at 8:30am. just drop and go. no need to Q.
