Hi,
I have 1 gal in P4 and 1 boy graduated last year from Endeavour.

My girl not much hw except Chinese. But I think it depends on individual teacher style. I assess her CL teacher as super on. Teach in class and hw go home and do. High standards, but I like. She is in the 1st CL class. Want her to take HCL next year. Science teacher good. The EL and Math teacher are average. But she loves school all the same. I wish for more hw though.

My boy had tons of hw in P6. And he had an excellent and hardworking teacher who taught him science and English. Posted relentlessly on SLS and marked them very detailed as well. Sad thing is she has resigned.
Math teacher good too. Both teachers were caring and excellent teachers at the same time. My boy was lucky to meet very good teachers from P3 onwards.

Personally, I think when children are streamed, the teachers are better for the best and weakest classes. Do not like the current system when they stream only at P5 cos I think my boy’s P3 and P4 teachers are better. They were streamed at P3 back then.

I hope they can give more hw and up their standard so as to stretch the children further. But I think there are also others who are happy because their children are slower to catch and the school scaffolds them well.

I think it's really subjective in opinions. My boy is in P4 this year, some of his subject teachers this year are real good (e.g.: Maths). He doesn't dislike Chinese now too (thanks to his Chinese teacher who gives encouragement). Last year while in P3, his Chinese teacher sucks! He hates his Mother Tongue lessons last year! It really depends on which teachers your child will get in his/her class.

If your child is placed in Student Care after school, the homework will be finished in the Student Care Centre, so rarely any homework to be completed at home (occasionally there will be online homework to be completed at short deadlines). More online homework will be assigned especially when there's a stretch of long holiday breaks to keep the students occupied.

Hi,
Student care centres are limited choices. You can try Mainspring or My Little Campus, the teachers go to the school to walk the students back to the student care centres during dismissal times.

Usually do the English teachers give online homework?

Very often over long weekend or holiday, my kid was told to go mconline for homework, but EVERYTIME the portal is not ready.
And that was the ONLY homework given.

Most of the time just wasted the time over the break.

Do your kids’ English teacher give any homework other than just being asked to check out those website exercise?
