It’s probably still safe and even if ballot, chances are very high. It’s still worth to go for it for the affiliation and holistic education.

Davischew

Reply to [Toa Payoh] Primary Schools on Wed, 15 Jul 2020 01:04:27 GMT

My mind was set on IJ TPY, but the numbers this year worries me.

Will you give up P2A2 for PCPS to try for "unknown" at this moment for Phase 2B within 1km for IJ TY ?
In previous year, I would have applied PCPS first, but withdrawal process seems more troublesome this year.
I am also not sure what kind of information I can get later to help me to decide withdraw or not.

Even if go through ballot for IJ TPY… chances is still high right ?

Historically within 1km all in. But looking at the remaining numbers this year, will it go into ballot for within 1km ?? :nailbite:

Is it due to that new condo, also the HDB near PCPS, both PCPS and TPY CHIJ take up rate is so much higher this year !!

It’s a confluence of factors.

Reduction of places as per the post above. DBSS, BTO, condo coming of age. Completion (and future addition) of MRT network means alumni staying further away are more willing to consider the schools.

floppy
