How much do tingkat meals cost now? I haven't ordered since my 2nd daughter was a bay, >20 yrs ago now. With everything increasing in price, I expect they find it hard to give more meat etc without raising prices significantly.
The cost varies from operator to operator.. they usually publish their prices online so there is no ambiguity. But even though prices kept going up, the quality dont keep up. I don’t really order them now.. prefer to walk over to the food centres to get freshly cooked food as and when I like. Glad my children are older now and I could leave to get food without them looking for me constantly.

Yes, yes, braised tau pok or braised peanuts .. I find it hard to accept these and of course potatoes. I would have preferred it to come with some pork belly for tau pok, & if potato, can add little minced meat.. or carrot potatoes.

Prices of food have been increased a lot these few months and so as the labour and fuel cost, maybe we have to adapt to these new situations by lower our expectations. Actually potatoes with tomatoes sauce are already good for me.

Tried Kim’s paradise healthy menu. Kids don’t like the ‘healthy’ menu as it is too plain.

If the windows are not closed and locked, the monkeys will squeeze through the window grilles. I remember once mum forgot to lock the window, the freshly cooked rice left on the table meant for frying was finished. On the way out, the monkey tried to pull a packet of corn flakes through the grilles.

Monkeys entered parents’ place the sat before school started. They were downstairs. Daughter had to pick up something and so we went there. She brought the pup upstairs while we waited downstairs. Dog barked and barked, scared the wits out of them, scrambling out of the window at the backyard, leaving the very young monkey behind. The pup was about to pounce on the monkey when it quickly jumped out.
They ate all the bananas leaving the skin on the floor. It was a complete mess! Upper Bukit Timah road.
friends living by the hill side near beauty world have been complaining about them for years. Understand it got worse after they discontinued the train service, which was the buffer between the forest and the human area

Normally how do you all receive ur tingkat meals? They will just leave it at the doorstep if nobody at home?
Cos their delivery can be as early as 3pm, do u think is acceptable?
I order for dinner for 2…then add on other dishes. Delivery time is from 330-4pm. Sometimes it can be 5.
When I first ordered select some 10 years ago, the food was repeated after some weeks. Now I see tauhu, braised tau kee repeated every week. Sometimes food like chicken with lemon sauce is over fried.
I’m looking for another Tingkat company to start 1/8. Please advise. Thanks

Luckily it hasn’t gone into my unit. I would have been the one running away hiding in my room, instead of the monkey.


Tingkat would be risky if it’s left outside the door. Maybe have the deliveryman ring your door bell once or twice so that you can bring it in.
