This year, for the first time since last 6 or more yrs in history, all SC 1km needs to ballot. I’m well within 1km of SJIJ, ASCJ and ACSP. Should I ballot for ASCP instead? I’m very close to doing that. Reason is ACS is much easier n less competitive to get into its affiliated secondary school. Is anyone as torn as me??

Please!! So don’t need to be so torn.

ACSJ and ASCP are BOTH affiliated to ACS Barker Road (the low cut off point secondary school). They are also BOTH affiliated to ACS Independent at Dover Road. The discount applies to only the Express stream, not IB stream.

SJIJ (plus several other Catholic boys schools) are affiliated to St Patrick’s Secondary (in the East). It also has low cut off point. These primary schools are also ALL affiliated to SJI at Malcolm Road. The discount applies to only the Express stream, not the IB stream.

I have done up a table listing out all the cut off points of the affiliated schools. Have a glance thru if you have the time. But don’t base your registration on the false idea that only ACSP has an “easy” secondary school!

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZzC9NGOVuFhV5vsOVxT6q9O7ZwyEpcGL/view

zac's mum

Reply to [Novena] Primary Schools on Thu, 06 Aug 2020 07:02:47 GMT

Thanks, Davischew.
