So her sch's current arrangement is fine with us.<br /><br />Her sch doesn't really end that late. Normal AM session ends at about 1250-1pm. Her sch ends at 130pm except on Wednesdays (at 1pm). My friend’s son studying in maris stella (assembly at 7.45am) has to board sch bus at 6.20am as she stays in Balestier.  <br /><br /><br />My son, also in single session with assembly at 7.45am, would be boarding sch bus at 7am.  He reaches home at 2.05pm on the average when lessons end at 1.30pm.  <br /><br />Single session is really perfect for me right now…</p>

They need to ferry working group and will not be able to do so if both students and working group start at the same time. <br /><br /><br />I know of a friend whose kid is in the AM later session (8am I think) but ended up waking and going to school at the same time as those whom start earlier due to school-bus early pick-up time. Ended up school ends at later time (as school starts late). As such by the time the kid reaches home daily, it’s almost 3 pm and that’s usual lunch time.</p>

You can always argue that other single-session schs are already doing it and there is no worry that a later ending time will affect the PM session since there is no PM session anymore for the sch.<br /><br />Of course, don't expect them to start as late as 9am or maybe even 830am. I know that some sec schs do have a late starting day once a week, like instead of 720am, they start at 820am, but the teachers will still have to turn up by 720am.<br /><br />My DD's sch has been running single-session for a few years already. They start lessons at 8am but I think students must be assembled for morning flag-raising, etc by 745-750am. (Not sure cos my DD reaches sch around 730am.) Sch ends at 130pm daily except for Wed (1pm).<br /><br />Qn: Which single-session sch starts later?<br />Ans: Sorry, I don't know. I don't think MOE has a public list too.
