I was just wondering if the Jiang education classes for secondary 3 is effective in teaching chinese comprehension skills because my dd is particularly weak in that aspect. Do they spend more on composition or comprehension? Also, are there any other tution centres or tutors who are effective in teaching secondary comprehension skills?

Beijing Language sch - only has HCL class, but it is closer to my residence.
Wang Learning - DS is used to its pri lessons but very far from my residence.
HCL - know little about this centre but slightly closer to my residence.
I am looking at a centre with lessons which cover all components for sec1 CL and DS would enjoy.

I have shortlisted Tien Hsia, Hua Language Ctr, Skylace, and Little Gems Learning centre due to location and schedule. Her command of the Chinese language is really poor, and she struggles especially with the comprehension as she often does not recognize the characters and phrases.
She is already loaded with a lot of homework and responsibilities from school, so I wish (probably wishful thinking...) to also find a centre with lesser homework.

This is the same for my youngest P6 child. He was barely passing (50-55) Chinese, now he is getting 83-85 marks overall consistently after attending HCL.
Not sure if HCL will work for everyone though.

Can I ask, does this tuition center do oral for Higher Chinese? I asked them at the reception, but they said they need to get a teacher to call me back.
