<![CDATA[All About Life Without Maids]]>I am a working mum with 2 kids, 18mths and 3-1/2yrs. I am thinking of releasing my maid early due to her attitudes, though she had worked with me for 3yr. But I am worried about how to cope without her.


My 2kids are now in full-day care. But my hubby always work late so he is hardly at home to help.

I gave up on robot vacuum as mine often got stuck somewhere and ran out of battery. 😞 I like Scotch-Brite mop. Easy to use. 🙂
Been using that before too! But 6 mos ago, cousin gave me her extra Mop Daddy she bought overseas. Very nice! Lifesaver 😂

I am also engaging 3 hours helper weekly @ $58 to clean my house. With the above cost, I’m thinking I can actually get a DH given that I will have 2nd one coming in Q4. Anyone same situation as me?? I may only need to top up a little bit more for weekly marketing for food.

That's us! But our contract finishes later this year and we won't get such a good deal again. But our electrcity consumption is below average - my husband says that at current rates we are below $90 a month (5-rm HDB, 4 adults). We are currently paying just over half of that under our 3rd-party contract.

Fabric sheets I never used before. Not even half load I think. Just a comforter cover somehow got problem one. The washer spinner cant seem to spin it very dry. I suspect it is a little heavier after soaked with water. But it is ok la..so far spread out for drying is working.
If it’s only half load, it should be okay as long as it is spread out. Good that it is working!

For clothes, only jeans during very wet weathers. I find the dryer warps the clothes and not all material are suitable for dryer.
