ok i finally turn up at the cherie hearts open house!! i think it was a great centre....very spacious and the staffs were all friendly...somehow the centre gives me a good feeling..so i finally enrolled my child there yesteday..no bad laa should give that a try šŸ˜„ i hope my daughter likes it there...she was already running around and exporing the center.

This is consistent to the T&C on the Appendix. However, I realized a new principal taken over and denied me full refund on basis a place has been confirmed in 2012 when I put the deposit.



The center emailed me in March 2017 saying ā€œUnder Cherie Hearts registration policy, a deposit, registration fee and confirmation fees equivalent 1st monthā€™s programme fee in full is payable upon confirmation or reservation for a place.ā€ This condition was not published on the Appendix so I asked for documents I signed suggesting I agreed to the 50% forfeit condition but they could not provide and black and white proof. The principal insisted a place has been confirmed at the time a deposit was placed henc i am not entitled to full refund. This contradicts as i have yet paid the confirmation fees that they claim it is their policy in order to confirm a place. The confirmation criteria was not met and they cannot to provide evidence that either party had agreed on a specific enrollment date - how can a place be confirmed without a specific enrollment date??.

Despite all conflicting information, Cherie Hears @Mountbatten did not provide satisfactory explanation and eventually they insisted on their business policy and I only got 50% of my deposit returned.

My gal is now in PG1 in Cherie Hearts. So far am happy with the centre. However being a kiasu parent, am starting to plan ahead and find out whether going forward I should let her remain there till K2 or move her to somewhere else which may develop her potential better? Have been exploring kindergartens but given I work long and unpredictable hours, think cc is still better for her. Also Iā€™m starting to get very concerned about her Chinese as sheā€™s replying me in English when I speak to her in Mandarin!

Any advice?
