First one, will listen to parents’ feedback, but no action will be done.
Second one, will argue with parents and give various of reasons why she thinks your suggestion / feedback sucks. I will just keep quiet and wait till my girl leave the school 2 months later.
I won’t send my younger one to ALPS.

Side note: The main difference between a "good" school and the so called "neighbourhood" school is the last 2 years, how the school prepares the kids for psle exam and who are your kids’ teachers in those last 2 years. You will get to see the "real" school in those last 2 years.

Alp and RVPS all need 1km balloting under phase 2c. I live in the area and see equal num of kids fr both schools but i dont know which is better. 🙂 my kids are only in preschool.

Are you in Phase 2C? I think if you can get your kid into either school, you should count your blessings! 😂

I’ve heard good things about ALPS too, my friend’s kids who were there did well. A few of the daughters went to crescent girls and the son went to nanhua high school. Disclaimer: I’m not a ALPS parent.

Since you now already a Citizen, suppose you are going for the Phase 2C of the P1 Registration, there is still chance if you are staying less than 1 km from either of these 2 schools. The balloting status in Year 2022 are as follow for your info.:

Alexandra Primary - Phase 2C in Year 2022 - Applied : 146, Vacancies : 113
Applied vs Vacancies = 129% - Balloting for SC less than 1 km

River Valley Primary - Phase 2C in Year 2022 - Applied : 91, Vacancies : 59
Applied vs Vacancies = 154% - Balloting for SC less than 1 km

or you may consider other primary schools which are not required any balloting in the Phase 2C so that you could 100% secure a place during Phase 2C of P1 Registration.

I assume you are the parent of a young child?
Alexandra Primary will require balloting at <1km at Phase 2C, so it's more \"they choose you\", rather than \"you choose them\" 🙂 If you are a PR, chances are VERY slim, unless you studied in some secondary school that is somehow affiliated with the primary school.
