I find the duck rice at Long House Food Centre pretty nice. The stall is located at the extreme right, beside the Goreng Pisang stall. The rice is the brown type. I usually eat Guo-Tiao..


The Thai food there is quite nice (& cheap) too..

while the south buona vista duck rice is alright, i prefer the duck rice at seah im hawker centre (opp. vivocity & harbourfront)....it's the stall along the row of fried hokkien mee and sugar cane drinks....

The hockien mee next to it also quite nice.

Lots of yummy food there. The duck rice stall is run by 4 brothers, i think. They appeared in the papers before. Soon Kee Duck Rice, but not sure if they were from Lakeview FC…


There’s also the famous Chicken Rice from Bugis Street, Big-Prawns noodles, Yong-Tau-Foo, Thai Food, and many others… And of course the famous Goreng Pisang…

Whenever we go there, always end up eating the same food...carrot cake, fish all noodle, satay, 五香...just too lazy to think.

The better food stalls at this food centre can be counted easily IMO.

If u go at night, must order the satay mee hoon (confirmed nice, long q)

The duck stall also not too bad IMO.

Satay - I find only the stall opposite the bbq chicken wings nice. The other stall so so only.

The zi char stalls- all not nice.

I thought the meat itself is so-so.

My only impression is the sauce. Is it msg? Iirc it was light coloured, slightly sweet and have a touch of mandarin peel.

Overall, I feel it is so-so for that price.

Rice texture is grainy but not too dry.

Porridge is so smooth.

Downside: too much MSG in the duck sauce.

We used to eat there, but the last time I did which was before CNY this year, I could not tahan the MSG.

So giving this a miss.
