They don’t have the case space (cooling power) nor the battery. Some come with under 256 GB SSD, and 4GB ram is not a requirement. Minimum 2GB. But most ultrabooks come with 4 GB RAM. Ultrabooks also don’t need to be 4th Gen Intel Haswell processor. 2nd or 3rd gen also can.</p>

And if you can get 3-years warranty, is very good.  <br /><br /><br />Of course expect ultrabooks to blow your budget!</p>

We have to get a few Challenger staff to touch it until somebody can feel it. So, I guess not everybody can feel it. If you cannot feel it on the flat area near the keyboard, try the bottom (back) of the notebook. It is usually stronger there.<br /><br />Chief, I cannot remember the model. I always touch the display sets to check the hotness.<br /><br /><br />I used that Dell for 5 years, then used MacBook (but I cannot get used to it) then used Acer (not the ultrabook that gave electricity current) before changing to Samsung. The previous Acer was alright although a bit slow so I thought Acer Ultrabook will be faster but I was disappointed on the power problem. The 8-year old Dell can still be booted up everytime I am searching for old files so I am happy with Dell.<br /><br />DH's office provides Dell laptop for him. I usually get that mild 'shock' when my hand or fingers venture near any of the ports on the side where the power adapter is.
