Being 1st time GEP parent as well,  P4 is certainly a wake up call and P5 is accelerated at high speed with loads of projects / assignments. Not for the parents to spoonfeed them. Either during school holidays (intensive) or once every week. <br /><br />These classes are for kids who are mathematically inclined and prepares/exposes them to questions commonly tested in Math Olympiads. It will be helpful either directly or indirectly for PSLE : ) and exposures to solving techniques are definitely helpful in expanding their problem solving skills for other math competitions.<br /><br />In TNS, the kids can part in many competitions like NMOS (P5), ACS Mathlympics (for P5, but selected P4 get to participate), SMOPS (P6). If results of SMOPS are good, kids can use for DSA.</p>
