2014 O level results will be released on 17 Jan?

I am also excited becos DS took Chinese this year. But knowing him, I don't look forward to receiving the results. Only hope its not as bad as I think it will be.

read from another forum that jc will admit students based on the perfect raw score of 6 less 4 points deduction first, then less 3 pointers n so on, till vacancies are filled. Is it true? So, does it mean that a student with raw score of 6 will hv an advantage over one who got a raw score of 8 but nett points of 5?

Applicants are posted to a course based on merit first according to their net aggregate scores (taking into account the various bonus points for which the applicants are eligible for).

Vjc science has been 5 for the last 2 years. Previously was 4.

There was no information on his school website and I did not receive a reminder for him to collect it. Some schools had information on when to collect on their website. Did any parents receive notification from school to collect it?

Hello^^ I am also part of 2013 batch of olevel graduates! Hahaha o levels is getting tougher, so doing tys isnt going to be enough especially for math. At least to me, our year's math paper was set in such a way that is tested your understanding instead of the usual \"routine steps taken to solve a typical math qns\".
If you havent been notified, the english syllabus has changed starting from our year. In this new syllabus, narrative is no longer a topic that will definitely come out in one of the four given essay questions. Hence, many schools are training their students to write expository instead. English is my worse faring subject but if you ask about how to improve on narrative, here's my advice: read more model narrative essays and you can use some of their ideas in your own essays. O level also expects you to have a certain standard of vocabulary(but i find it weird to throw in bombastic words out of nowhere)

Anyway, I started writing a blog on my journey through the olevels, it is not completed though.. There are tips on what i did to prepare so yeap go ahead and i'll share it here:) http://journeythroughtheolevels.blogspot.sg/

btw i got raw 8, nett 6, first choice nyjc science πŸ™‚
