In other words, is it ok if address at balloting stage is within 1km, but upon entering P1 we have moved to a larger place that is further away?</p>

Couple raising their voices at the school staff because they had indicated the grandparent’s address for registration (&lt;1km). It was different from the parents’ own IC address, therefore staff queried why. Couple insisted the kid was living with the grandparent, not them. Staff requested they go back and ask the grandparent to make a statutory declaration as a caregiver. I dunno what followed but the school was doing their part to question any suspicious behaviour.</p>

School caught the discrepancy and hence investigated.<br /><br /><br />MOE website states not only will transfer the kids out, parents will also be liable for police investigation (jail term is possible, apart from fines).</p>

(pre covid)<br /><br />This VP from a top sch, got my number from the Condo management office and called me at my mobile directly.<br />-asked to speak the parent of child XXX, who is in the middle of P2 that year<br />(think about it, the sch did not reach out to the parent directly via their data base but called the mgt office to get the tenant/owners records directly !!)<br /><br />I said, i am not the parent of XXX but i am renting the unit, #01-23 (example only). <br /><br />VP wanted me to confirmed the landlord’s identify and any other locked rooms in the unit that was rented out, possibly to XXX’s parents.<br /><br />Long and short: I rented the whole unit and XXX is not the landlord’s child.<br /><br /><br />EXTRA:<br />VP was chatty, so i proceed to ask more about XXX and what will happen to her.<br />The informal reply was: <br />-XXX had a sister in P1, who came in via phase 1.<br />- If XXX’s parents is found out to have violated the 24 month rule, both XXX and younger sister will be posted out.</p>

Does it mean by earliest Dec 2025 I can move away from 1km?</blockquote></blockquote>The 30 months start at he beginning of P1 registration, which is around early June every year.
